Important Note: DevMetrics pulls GitHub pull request data onto your local machine. We do not store or process that GitHub data on our servers. You are solely responsible for any personal data you collect about others (e.g., employees, team members, or collaborators) when using the App, including compliance with applicable data protection and employment laws.
3. Personal Data We Collect
- Email Address: We may collect your email address when you purchase a license for the App, sign up for updates, or contact us for support.
- Payment Information: Payment details are handled by our third-party payment processor, Paddle. We do not store or process your credit card or other financial data on our servers.
- Website Analytics: On our website at devmetrics.app, we use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to gather non-personally identifiable information such as page views, referral sources, and aggregated visitor metrics. We do not use cookies or tracking mechanisms that identify individual users.
4. How We Use Your Personal Data
- To Provide and Maintain the Service: We use your email address to activate your license, provide customer support, and communicate important information about the App.
- To Process Payments: Paddle collects and processes payments on our behalf. Your financial information is governed by Paddle’s privacy policy.
- To Improve Our Website: We use aggregated, non-identifiable data from Plausible analytics to understand how people interact with our website and to enhance the user experience.
5. Your Role as Data Controller (Employee or Team Data)
If you collect or analyze data about your employees, contractors, or other individuals through the App, you are the data controller for that information. We do not have access to or control over such data.
